Kate Weschler

Kate Weschler is a physical therapist at the Supreme Sports Club location for Chesapeake Physical & Aquatic Therapy. She fell in love with physical therapy in high school after going through the physical therapy (PT) process herself, as a patient.  Kate experienced first-hand the positive impact PT can have on people's health and well being.  She learned that a great physical therapist requires the mental, physical and most importantly the social skills needed to create a positive impact on patients and their health.  Kate developed these skills while attending Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.  In 2009, Kate graduated from Gannon receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise Science.

Since graduating, Kate has worked in outpatient physical therapy settings within Maryland.  She enjoys working with all orthopedic and neurological diagnoses, with a special interest in athletes and sports related injuries including concussions.  Kate has experience working with a wide variety of ages and injuries including the pediatric population, patients with special needs, developmental disabilities, senior citizens, and the athletic population.  Kate truly enjoys the one-on-one interaction she has with her patients and their families.  She is rewarded by the challenges and variety that each new day brings.

Kate readily continues her education by researching and actively studying new PT techniques.  Her most recent continuing educational coursework includes: Kinesiology Taping, the Graston Technique, Concussion training, the McKenzie technique, and the Mulligan Concept.
